Jessie

After I got Noah down for a much-needed nap, I walked past the kitchen table and gasped when I saw this:
Me: Jessie! Why did you cut your hair!
Jessie: Well, you cut my hair last year and it needs to be cutted!
Me: You can't cut your hair by yourself. That is a job for mommy. Please don't do that ever again.
Now I start cleaning up this small mess she made.
Jessie: Don't! Don't take my hair! That's my hair and I want it! I want to keep my hair!
I probably should have said something, but I thought this was funny. Her sweet little high-pitched voice sounded so determined and desperate, so I let her put it in a bag.

Later today, we played outside.

I would like to learn how to take better pictures. See that stick she's holding? She was walking around saying, "I'm Nanny McPhee!" and then she'd stomp her stick on the ground and make a grim face. I tried to get a picture of her doing it, but by then she was done and didn't feel like humoring me. I hope she feels adored, because every little ounce of her being can only be described as adorable. I love her more than words can say. Thank you, Jessie, for being my little helper and my little cube of sugar each day. xoxo
