Family Pictures by Justin
Aren't these swell? Justin and Holly sure are talented folks. These pictures were taken at the family reunion in Oregon. Joy asked us all to wear blue, yellow, or white, and the only clothes we had in that color scheme were a bit dressy... so I tried to make us more "casual"... I probably should have just bought new clothes! Oh well. It's over now and I stressed over nothing. Here's the thing: I love to buy my kids clothes! Love it! The problem: they end up with too many. See, the boys' have to have "uniforms" (really, it's just a super strict dress code), then there's play clothes, then there's church clothes, then there's those one or two "nice" outfits that aren't for church, school, or playtime, but for pictures or other times I want them a little fixed up. Oh, and don't forget the little holiday outfits I buy/make them. SO... to buy more clothes when we had some in those colors already just seemed SILLY at the time.

I thought they all looked wonderful. I too have stressed over what my children should wear at times...did it really matter...no, not really. I think we put WAY to much stress on ourselves. Our children did not have the dress code that yours do, and I was just grateful they had clothes to wear. I think the more children you have the more grateful you are for the little things. When we just had the first 3 boys, I had a little inspection before we left for church, making sure even the socks matched their pants. I remember one Sunday, sitting in the pew and looking down at Justin, who had NO socks on. And I was proud of myself for not going home to get him some. :)
