Logan and Noah at a soccer game
Noah just a few minutes old
Noah was a surprise to our family. The "plan" was to wait until Jessie was 3 or 4 (she is 3 now) and then think about having more. After I went to the library to figure out how this happened and then got over the shock of it all, I was genuinely excited and began feathering the nest for our newest arrival. I knew he was a boy and I knew our family needed him... like right now. Everybody loves to be around Noah. Even the dogs follow him around and listen to him. It's so cute!
Every single day I am so completely thankful for this jewel of a person and see the ways he has made our family laugh more and love more and give more. He is the perfect little bundle of moxy and charisma and tenderness and humor. Oh, the humor! He started making faces at dinner just to make people laugh when he was barely a year old. He'll put on costumes and pose in dramatic ways. He's not afraid to be heard when he thinks people who are bigger than him (who will remain nameless) are being unfair.
Noah is "heard" in one of three ways. Once in a while he is heard with a cry. He is a baby, after all. His second and most common way of letting us know he's upset is a yell. Not a scream or a wail, a Yell. "Aaaaahhh!!" This is actually quite comical coming from such a small person. The third way he lets us know he's upset is to throw a few punches. The great thing is he doesn't usually hit anybody. He just gets real close and waves his fist around.
He has started to talk in this adorable jabber-y way that I must record because it is THAT cute. But my favorite sound Noah makes? Easy. "Ma! Ma!" Just thinking about it puts a smile on my face. He never just says "Mom" or "Mama" or "Ma." It's always very deliberate: "Ma! Ma!" This boy has my heart!
