Kids Say...

Last night Noah said the blessing at dinner (with Jared's help) for the first time!  He basically just said the last word in each sentence Jared said, and the older kids got the giggles, but I thought it was so precious. He had his little arms folded and head bowed and eyes closed and was trying so hard. It's moments like that I really savor, and wish I could bottle up. Noah always raises his hand when we say, "Who's turn is it to say the prayer?" and we're all thrilled that now he gets to participate.

Sunday night at dinner we were coming up with different riddles and Jared said, "Who is three years old, has long hair, two arms, and two legs?" The boys instantly knew who he was talking about and Jessie kept guessing different kids from her Primary class (none of whom have long hair). Jared finally said, "I'll give you a hint: they are in this room." She kept looking around at all of us and even suggested Noah at one point out of desperation after determining that mom couldn't be three years old. She is normally so quick with everything that this was quite funny to all of us. Then Jared said, "Who is three years old and sitting at this table?" Jessie's eyes widened a little and she said, "I... I... I'M three years old!" Really, I wish that moment could have been recorded with a camera instead of in my words on our blog, because to see her little face and hear her little voice is what made it priceless.
