Nothing like family

I love it when my parents come to visit. They arrived the night before the baptism. We don't see them often enough and sometimes I don't realize how much I miss being around family until I'm around them! I hope I never forget the sound of Porter reading what the washing machines buttons say to my mom as I was making cinnamon rolls. Or the sound of my dad laughing as Porter read him Junie B. Jones. I wish I took more pictures and remembered to write things down as they happened. On Thursday we went over to Brock and Elizabeth's to hang out with them for the weekend and be there for Aliya's baptism. I love visiting them. They have such great kids and it's just so fun to be around all of them. This visit Brock and Braden taught Porter how to surf. The kid loved it and can't wait to go back! He is quite comfortable in the water (like his daddy) and is happiest there. Elizabeth's brothers, mom, grandma, and aunt were also at the beach this day. They are a great bunch of people.

I forgot to bring my camera with us. Phone pictures are better than no pictures (that's what I always say. Or will always say from now on. Because I have a camera now and tend to forget it. And I don't know how to use it very well yet.) So that's Braden on the left and Porter on the right.

Brock with the older boys in the background. Carson and Logan are quite the little buddies.

Dad wasn't the only person napping on the beach. He was probably the only person on the beach who felt seasick just watching the waves, though.

The girls loved covering Noah in sand, and he seemed to enjoy it, too. Aliya is so good with Jessie, and Jessie just adores her. Aliya is quite the surfer girl, but I didn't take any pictures of it.

The best way to handle those long drives! This picture cracks me up because he just wiggles and talks constantly in the car until he crashes like this - mouth open and everything.
