Halloween

*I just added pictures to this post and for some reason it got bumped up here instead of the proper order. I can't figure it out. Grrr. I don't love technology right now.

We moved on Halloween. It was a little crazy and I'd rather not remember it. Thank heavens Jared's parents and Jason and Heather could come to help us out. House was filthy. Painters weren't finished. Still needed to clean the old house. Not enough hours in the day. I did manage to keep track of the kids costumes, feed them lunchables before we went trick-or-treating, and snap one pathetic picture of the darlings. I have no idea where Jared was at this point, but I know he was either moving stuff or fixing stuff with his dad. The kids took a bath in coldish water because we didn't realize we needed to have the gas company turn on the heat. I made them cozy beds on the couches because the carpet in their rooms was filthy (it's all replaced now and feels luxurious). I actually like it when they all sleep in the living room like that. Nice and cozy end to a crazy day. Basically, Halloween can only be immensely better next year!

These are some potions we made earlier in the week. From left to right we have Noah's (he kept adding "more" spiders and added all the food coloring himself, which also consisted of many "more" drops), Logan's (vampire teeth, spiders, etc. good variety), mine (orange glitter and little moons and stars), Porter's (wanted his to look like a "real" potion, which it indeed does) and Jessie's (pink and sparkly!).

Another funny thing I remember from earlier in the week is that the kids loved playing with the trick or treat buckets when I got those out. They were pretending duplos were candy and they came up with all kinds of trick or treat games that went on for about an hour. I love how imaginative and creative they are.

Halloween night! A Skeleton, a dancer girl, Harry Potter, and Venom. I need to find out if Jared got some pictures of the kids a the trunk or treat a few nights prior. We were much more "into it" that night.
