This morning we went to Target and then I took the kids out to our favorite McDonald's play place. It's always clean and usually not too crowded and very close to home and school. Noah was so funny in the store, but kind of a handful. I had to keep him strapped in the cart if we were going to have time to eat lunch before Kindergarten started. He did not like this idea and kept asking to get out. "Down? Out? Peeeeze?" (Please) It was so adorable. Sometimes he would even wrap his little arms around my neck and try to quickly climb out. Usually that one gets me, but I was determined to take these kiddos out to lunch today! Anyway, he was pretty relentless about getting down, but he never cried about it. When we were waiting in the checkout he just kept asking and asking and when I needed to load our stuff up I was no longer responding to his requests. He finally turns to the woman standing behind me and says, "Out?" with his head tilted, and then he shrugged his shoulders and looked away. She and I shared a good chuckle at that. He is normally pretty shy around strangers, but I guess he was willing to go out of his comfort zone if it meant getting out of that cart!
We get a lot of flack for that Bronco sweatshirt Logan is wearing since Yuma is definitely Raider country. The Charger fans don't seem to mind us too much, but for some reason the Raider fans throw a fit. Anyway, my mom and dad gave Porter that sweatshirt a few years back and the boys wear it proudly! We don't really follow football much in our house, but Denver will always be "home" to me. :)
Jessie and Logan had a milk drinking race. Logan likes to race everything these days. I have no idea who won. They both had their heads tilted back for a long time after they were finished. Oh, and Jessie took out the cute flowers I had in her hair. She's been telling me a lot lately, "I am NOT cute!" I tell her she is. "NO! I don't want to be cute, I want to be PRETTY." I tell her she is pretty. And cute! Anyway, today she had enough. She tells me, "Do not call me cute anymore. You can call me pretty, beautiful, lovely, or gorgeous." Hmmm. What else can I call you? "Amazing. That's it. Just don't call me cute, okay?" NO, I'm not okay with that! After school Logan and Noah were playing pirates and Logan said, "Jessie, will you be the beautiful girl from Pirates of the Carribean? Please? We really need someone to be the beautiful girl and you would be perfect!" She said, "Oh, I guess I would!"
